Canopy epiphytes
Orchids, mosses, lichens and bromeliads are epiphytic organisms (epi-live on; phyte-plants) are highly diverse in the Andean cloud forests. However, it is necessary to carry out more research in order to know not only biodiversity aspects but also ecology and functionality of these canopy groups.

MOSS BIODIVERSITY
The project includes the elaboration of a mosses and hepatics catalog of the CDS.

BROMELIAD COMMUNITY ECOLOGY
The project includes researching invertebrate communities that live inside bromeliads.

ORCHID ECOLOGY:
The project includes the study of orchid ecology in the canopy.
